FAQs
Making a Reservation
- There is an online convenience fee of 6%, however, you can pay over the phone to avoid this small charge. Holiday prices vary and are available by phone or can be found listed on checkout.
- A $500 deposit is required to hold your day/time slot.
- The remaining balance will be due 4-7 days prior to your trip. We prefer to recharge the card on file.
- 20% gratuity paid directly to your captain is required on the day of your charter. Your captain will accept Venmo, Zelle, or cash.
- A boat rental contract must be submitted the day of departure. Additionally, every passenger needs to sign a liability waiver.
Terms & Conditions
- The boat rental contract must be filled out completely and submitted prior to leaving the marina. Credit card information is required in the event damage occurs to the boat while you're on board. Deposits are non-refundable.
Acknowledgement of Risks & Liability
- Everyone boarding the boat must sign a liability waiver the day of departure.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
- If you need to reschedule your booking, you must do so within 21 days of your booked departure date. As long as the spot is available, we're happy to help you find another day and time that works.
- Shoreline Boat Rentals has a zero-cancellation policy with the exception of severe weather conditions on Lake Travis.
- If you have to cancel your reservation, deposits are non refundable.
- No calls no shows will be charged 100% to the card on file.
Weather Conditions
- Cancellations due to severe weather are determined by your captain the day of your rental.
- We do not cancel due to weather forecasts as they are not reliable here in Austin.
- If it is unsafe to go out the day of your rental a full refund will be given.
- Our recommendation is to come down to the dock and hope for the best. We have had some great boat parties in the rain, and we can still tie up with other boats!
The Day of Your Trip
- Please arrive early for your trip, the time you book is the time you get. We have 2 charters a day and will be unable to extend your trip if you are late. Please try and get to the marina at least 20 mins before your departure time. Your time slot is your time, if you are late it comes out of your time on the water and we don't want that!
Directions & Parking
- There is plenty of parking . Additionally, Lyft and Ubers are readily available.
- Parking is $20 dollars for a bus, & $15 dollars for a car.
- From Rocky Ridge Rd., take a right onto the property. Go through the main gate and then follow the road until it brings you to a gravel driveway on the left. Take the gravel driveway down and park closest to the marina.
Eating & Drinking on the Boat
- Food is fine to bring on the boat.
- We do not grill.
- $300 dollar cleaning fee may be charged if the boat is left dirty.
- NO FOOD FIGHTS! If you do your charter is over and no refunds will be given.
- NO GLASS BEER BOTTLES PLEASE.
- No jello shots.
- Ice and water are not provided. Please stop on the way and get 2-3 bags of ice & plenty of bottled water.
What to Bring
- Life jackets for anybody 12 and under
- Food and drink
- Paper plates, paper towels and utensils
- Towels
- Ice (we have a big cooler on board)
- Your phone or other device to play music (we have connections to plug in just about anything)
- Sunscreen
What NOT to Bring
- Glass (that includes wine bottles)
- Temporary tattoos
- Spray tan bottles/Spray Lotion
- Pets
- Glitter
- Silly string
- Fishing poles
- And pretty much anything the color red that will stain, like Tabasco, red wine, or Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
